John Holland: ‘Our Heli-stringing work’

This film shows how John Holland’s project team have used a heli-stringing technique to string more than 160km of optical fibre ground wire between Sheffield, George Town and Palmerston in Tasmania. The project team has also installed 21,000 steel members and erected 379 new earth peaks in order to provide a safe, reliable and secure electricity transmission system to the area.

In tandem with the Tasmanian project, in Queensland 135.5km of double circuit transmission line and 5.5km of single circuit transmission line was constructed and strung for the Wandoan South, Columboola and Western Downs Transmission Line Part B project.

This film was produced and directed by Magnolia Lowe for 50 Kaliber Films.
