Monash University Education: ‘National Virtual School for Emerging Sciences Overview’

The National Virtual School for Emerging Sciences gave Year 10 students with a passion for science a virtual learning experience to nurture their curiosity for new and emerging sciences. Students could study up to four units, each for eight weeks, in Astrophysics and Nanotechnology via a virtual classroom. All units were aligned with the Australian National Curriculum.

The NVSES was a collaborative project between Monash University, the John Monash Science School, and Pearson Australia and was funded for two years (2012-2014) by the Australian Government Department of Education through the Broadband Enabled Education and Skills Services Programme.
